[Evolution] contacts categories

At last I have cvs evolution back. 

One thing I have been meaning to ask for a long time is whether you are
meant to be able to add new categories for contacts / calendar?
I can add a new category, but can't then close the window, and if I kill
it the new catogory appears in the list, but it disappears the next time
you open the category list.
