I apologize for responding to the beginning of this thread
without reading through the whole discussion first.

The bug where running expunge/'empty trash' doesn't 
actually delete messages off of the POP3 mail server
until Evolution exits still applies.

I'd also still like to see the "Expunge/Empty" on exit
options added.
