Sorry for the confusion ... it is a 20GB partition with 10GB free, and I am not sending 10GB messages out. So yes, I have copious space left.
Here is an interesting update, however. I have been involved in writing a multi-institutional grant proposal which necessitates sending lots of PDF docs back and forth.I am writing maybe 10-15 e-mails a day with fairly large attachments, have been for a couple of weeks now. So I started wondering if the sent folder was somehow limited in what it could hold. I made a sub folder of sent, and moved everything but the last few weeks worth of stuff into it. And the problem went away. Probably just black magic, but I thought it was worth sharing.
