You can, infact it *DOES* do this.  The send/receive window is a bit
deceptive, it only shows 1 server, but it will send to the server that
matches the account address you sent it From in the composer.

You might want to reply it to someone else that you dont have an account
for.

Its already implemented.

In the account editor under 'Sending mail'

set the 'server requires authentication' _checkbox_.  And select 'POP
before SMTP'.
