My system already has db3 libraries (3.3.11) installed. I installed version 3.1.17 at /usr/local/src/DB-3.1.17. I replaced the system one with the 3.1.17 and everything else worked just fine. So I guess 3.1.17 build is ok. Now 3.3.11 is back at /usr and 3.1.17 is back at /usr/local/src/DB-3.1.17. I told that to the configure script, and here is the output: $> (...) --with-db3-includes=/usr/local/src/DB-3.1.17/include \ --with-db3-libs=/usr/local/src/DB-3.1.17/lib --- checking for db3 compiler flags... -I/usr/local/src/DB-3.1.17/include checking for db.h... yes checking db3 header version... 3.1.17 --- MY PROBLEM: checking for db3 library name... configure: error: Could not find db3 library --- Any hints?
