Yes, I'm experiencing this too. 
While doing some experiments I saw that when the X session ends there is
an oafd process left running (I don't know if it should be killed at the
end of the X session or not). 
If i kill the oafd before logging in again evolution starts normally,
otherwise it aborts with 'Configuration database not found' 

My system is a redhat 7.1, with all the latest redcarpet updates.
