Hey. I think it would be nice if HTML mail wasn't shown as standard, but you have to press a button in the toolbar to see the HTML view, if any. Something like that.
Basically: If text and HTML exists, show text. Have HTML button in toolbar activate. If only HTML exists, show empty message and HTML button. Possibly put in message body 'this mail is available in HTML form only. Press the HTML button to view it' (and maybe some warning). Even better would be that the HTML view, if active, strips all javascript, embed tags, etc, and if possible removes buglets, too... :) Having the HTML as an attachment will work too, of course. I'm just curious if any preprocessing of the HTML occurs before it is viewed? I know that the damage possibilities in Linux and far smaller than in Windows, but still something could turn up that would be a problem, typically because of scripting or plugins. Plugins are not supported at all, right? I don't think they should be in the mail program...
