Jeff,
I think you're misunderstanding what Bruce is saying. He's talking
about getting a really great but really messy email from someone and
wanting to send it on. He could just forward it "as-is" but it has all
sorts of headers and ">"s in it. It would be embarrassing to send email
like that. He can't even believe his friend would send him something in
such bad shape! He's just saying that the Evolution email editor isn't
very helpful in these situations and that a real text processor like
SlickEdit (or really, EMACS) would be better.
