I must be missing something obvious. Here's my steps:

[bg@localhost bg]$ su -
Password:
[root@localhost root]# cd /usr/lib
[root@localhost lib]# ls mozilla
mozilla mozilla-1.0.0
[root@localhost lib]# cd /etc
[root@localhost etc]# vi ld.so.conf

*** contents of ld.so.conf ***

/usr/kerberos/lib
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/lib/qt-2.3.1/lib
/usr/lib/qt-1.45/lib

/usr/lib/qt2/lib
/usr/lib/qt-3.0.3/lib
/usr/lib/sane
/usr/lib/mozilla <------added this line
*** end ****

Tried adding both '/usr/lib/mozilla' and
'/usr/lib/mozilla-1.0.0', but neither worked.

Thanks in advance.
