Hai, Sorry if this is offtopic message :) I am using RedHat 7.3 with evolution 1.0.8, no problems in that. I wanted to view the source code for evolution(just to see in anyway i can contribute), so I have downloaded evolution source 1.0.8 and db3-3.1.17 I want to keep my current evolution without being affected by this new one, so i have decided to go with --prefix option in evolution.
I have compiled db3 with prefix to a separate directory and i have given this option for evolution configuration also, my configuration is like this configure --prefix=/home/gopi/evol-check --with-db3=/home/gopi/db3 but configuration returns with the following error message, <snip> checking db3 header version... 3.1.17 checking for db3 library name... /home/gopi/evol-check/lib/libdb.a checking that db3 library version matches header version... yes checking for OpenLDAP... no checking for pthread_create in -lpthread... (cached) yes checking for SunOS broken spool format... no checking for Bonobo... not found configure: error: You need Bonobo 1.0.3 or higher to build Evolution If you think you already have this installed, consult the README. <snip> Just to test it i even tried commenting that particular portion of configure script but configure gave error this time in OAF I dont know what to do now, i have queried RPMS for bonobo and all other stuff and i got the following details bonobo-1.0.19-2 bonobo-conf-0.14-5 oaf-0.6.8-3 libgal19-0.19.1-2 gal-0.19.1-2 gal-devel-0.19.1-2 gdk-pixbuf-0.14.0-8 gdk-pixbuf-gnome-0.14.0-8 gtk+-1.2.10-15 gtk2-2.0.2-4 gnome-libs-1.4.1.2.90-14 libgnomeprint15-0.35-4 gnome-vfs-extras-0.2.0-1 gnome-utils-1.4.0-9 gnome-core-devel-1.4.0.4-54 gdk-pixbuf-gnome-0.14.0-8 gnome-audio-extra-1.4.0-1 gnome-user-docs-1.4.1-1 gnome-print-0.35-4 gnome-vfs-1.0.5-4 gnome-core-1.4.0.4-54 gnome-pilot-0.1.64-3 scrollkeeper-0.3.4-4 Anybody can help me in this, i dont want to overwrite my current stable one, just wanted to have this new evolution reside in entirely new directory. Do i have to download anyother additional files, where i can download those files? Thanks in Advance, Regards, S.Gopi _______________________________________________ evolution maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution
