Anyway, I understand the difficulty. I'll check the archives to get

You are right (of course), I haven't checked the filters menu well enough.
But, how do I apply filters (CTRL+Y) to all messages? Do I have to
select them all? Can't this be done automagically to all (arriving)
messages? Can't I change the line background as well as foreground?
Am I asking too much?

Ok, I didn't knew, haven't used evolution for a while now, thought it was
a "feature" :)).

No. If you press [ENTER] in a message it opens in a new windows, not over
the index view. But this is not really that important.

One more thing, is the font in the message (index) display customizable?
