Mandrake 9.0 Dell Latitude C600 Laptop Handspring Visor Pro USB connection I have done a few more tests, and here is what I found.
1. Changed permissions 775 2. ran the command $ pilot-xfer -p /dev/usb/tts/1 --list > > Listening to port: /dev/usb/tts/1 > > Please press the HotSync button now... Connected > > Reading list of databases in RAM... > CityTimeDB > Datebk3HDB > HSAdvCalcDB > AddressDB > DatebookDB > LauncherDB > MailDB > MemoDB > ConnectionDB > NetworkDB > ToDoDB > Graffiti > AddressCitiesDB > AddressCompaniesDB > AddressCountriesDB > psysLaunchDB > Graffiti ShortCuts > Unsaved Preferences > Net Prefs > System MIDI Sounds > Saved Preferences > AddressStatesDB > AddressTitlesDB > > List complete. 23 files found. > Time elapsed: 0:00:02 3. Tried to run gpilotd. gpilotd would start, but when I hit the hotsync button, it died. Here is the result > $ gpilotd > gpilotd-Message: gnome-pilot 0.1.69 starting... > gpilotd-Message: compiled for pilot-link version 0.11.5 > gpilotd-Message: compiled with [VFS] [GOAD] [USB] [IrDA] [Network] > gpilotd-Message: Activating CORBA server > gpilotd-Message: Watching Cradle (/dev/usb/tts/1) > gpilotd-Message: setting PILOTRATE=115200 > Segmentation fault I tried the same command at a lower PILOTRATE - 57600, and received the same result. Any suggestions on what to check or why it is not working?
