Hmm, he didn't say it was the user's fault - he said it was probably the
server's fault.  Even though it was a client change that doesn't rule
out the server: Evolution is asking for something different from the
server, maybe that portion of the server sucks?  Which server is it? 
Was that ever even reported?

>From the lack of information flowing forth to accompany the complaints,
it's understandable that the initial reaction is "probably the server",
particularly when IMAP is so much faster for so many other people (like
99% of them?).
