Thanks but that is how the PDA is configured. If I put the PDA within a foot of my laptop, a it says it is waiting to receive a beam. Because pilot-link works flawlessly, I suspect this is a gnome-pilot issue--either it is sleeping, or the protocol isn't right. -- __C U R T I S C.
