I'm getting the same problem but on only one machine out of two. Both machines with RH 7.2 (2.4.7-10 kernel), upgraded Evo from 1.0.8 to 1.2.1 via Red Carpet. Both are accessing an Exchange LDAP directory anonymously.
Machine 1: PII 333 on an Intel BX 440 motherboard and I CAN hit the "to" or "cc" buttons and use the address book (an LDAP directory) Machine 2: Celeron on an Intel D815BN. If I hit "to" or "cc" I get the crash you describe. I'm going to replace the Celeron processor with a PIII unit in a day or two. Will advise of results. Anyone have any other ideas?
