Um, sorry, I really don't understand that first sentence, as I am no
native English speaker. You may explain to me. But I think, I got the
meaning...


I don't meant Evo to create new files with extra info on the IMAP
server. Just stick to the standards.

I thought about optional mail-headers, like X-Mailer: or X-Status: that
are ignored by other Clients.

If I remember correctly I have seen headers like X-Eudora-Status: for
internal information storing. That's what I thought about to store
mail-related Information in the mail itself.

Don't break any standards.

Don't get that either, sorry. My IMAP mail directory is in my UNIX home
directory on that server.
