TBH, I don't like settings. They are inevitably a pain to test and
maintain, and they complicate helping users debug issues. In this instance,
it is a matter of just retraining users to type 'hg next' instead of 'hg
evolve'. While having to get used to a different command is annoying, I
think that is a fine solution.

While I'm a developer, I'm not a hg/evolve developer so Do Whatever You
Want(tm). :) (I am *not* going to use such a setting and just get used to
a different command.)

Mechanical Engineers build weapons, Civil Engineers build targets.
