Hello,

With Red Hat 5.8, I have run into the same problem as described at
https://www.openfabrics.org/forum/7-installation/149-ofed-build-errors-
under-centos-58.html and http://jira.whamcloud.com/browse/LU-1327 :
Due to RHEL 5.8's kernel-devel package having introduced pci_pcie_cap in
/usr/src/kernels/..../include/linux/pci.h, building ofa_kernel fails.

I modified the ofa_kernel package to apply the following little patch, in
order to build on RHEL 5.8:
http://troels.arvin.dk/code/ofa_kernel/rhel5.8-enablement/ofa_kernel-
rhel5.8-pci_pcie_cap.patch

The patch is probably not something which may be directly included in the
OFED-stack, as I assume it will break a build on RHEL 5.7. But how could
it be massaged for inclusion, so that RHEL 5.8 (and soon also RHEL 5.9)
users will not be affected by the problem in the future?
