Looks like there has been some mix up in the meeting schedule. We will reconvene again starting next week, at 9am PST.

OFED 3.5 will have to be matched to a kernel that has the proper patches. Otherwise, it is very simple to crash the kernel. "Out-of-the-box" SL 6.3 does not have these changes. There may be others as well. Most likely RHEL. My test, which is detailed in the bug, does uncover this issue. The SRP test for the Logo event will never see this issue. Even using the extended (indirect) sg descriptors. That means that the current test is not exercising the new feature. My goal is to make sure the OFED 3.5 release is married to the proper kernel versions and distros. How will the supported distros be listed in the release notes? Will we (UNH-IOL and DDN) be testing all of potential kernels and distros? -Marty -----Original Message----- From: Rupert Dance [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, November 27, 2012 9:04 AM To: Marty Schlining Cc: [email protected] Subject: FW: [ewg] OFED-3.5 / Chelsio status Marty, I know there are still a few issues you, Bart and Dave Dillow are working on but it seems like many have been resolved. Can we give approval for RC3 knowing there will be some testing allowed before RC4 and GA. We will never get OFED to 3.8 unless we release 3.5 so we can start working on 3.8! There are a few outstanding issues, but none to stop ship for. We're ready to release. Thanks, Steve. _______________________________________________ ewg mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openfabrics.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ewg ----- No virus found in this message.
