I'm trying to read various PNG files using exact-image.

RGB images work fine, with or without alpha channel.

Colormap images with an alpha channel work.

Colormap images without an alpha channel fail, producing garbled data for the
first 75% of the lines, and black for the rest.

I've tested using the perl API with debian packages
    libexactimage-perl_0.8.5-5+deb7u4_amd64.deb
and
    libexactimage-perl_1.0.2-8+b3_amd64.deb

I've also tested with "econvert" from debian package
    exactimage_1.0.2-8+b3_amd64.deb
with command line:

    $ econvert -i colormap-input.png  -o colormap-output-failed.png

I've attached these two files.

Having said all that, does anybody have any suggestions?
