This is a long term contract based at Washington DC. These positions require *Advanced level security engineering skills and experience*. The contractor shall provide support to the OCTO Data Center (ODC) Mainframe management as a Senior Mainframe Storage Manager. The contractor will receive direct tasking from and shall report to the Director of Data Centers and Manager of Mainframe Services and contract responsibility reporting to the COTR. Activities shall include, but are not limited to, the following key areas: a) Document procedures, processes, technical specifications, implementation plans, configurations of daily tasks as necessary for the continuation of operations b) Provide technical support to agencies and other IT personnel relating to storage configurations, improvements and strategic initiatives c) Assist the District of Columbia with a centralized management system for multiple security platforms d) Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex storage resource issues e) Generate and submit weekly status reports in the ODC approved format. f) Participate in ODC Incident Response Team activities as needed. g) Assist the District of Columbia with deploying and managing SAN and Tape Silo subsystems for multiple data centers 1. *Tasks to be performed*: a) Support the agency's effort to provide its clients storage that performs reliably, efficiently used, and is available when needed b) Review the currently installed storage subsystems.
