*SAP MM Consultant* *Duration: 3-6 months Location: Chicago, IL Rate: Open *
*Responsibilities * - Provide technical support to various ERP system including SAP - Serve as a liaison between the business process owners (R&M Procurement Operations) and the 3rd Party vendors (IBM, Accenture) who will do the configurations and the selected resource will test the configs and provide input to changes where necessary prior to be moved to production environment per the specifications given by the business. - Provide the necessary coaching/guidance/training around best in class use of the SAP and other legacy systems where applicable. - Act as a technical project resource to various projects (manage technical tasks with Accenture/IBM, identify risks and assist project team with testing of technical solutions where applicable) Deliverables - Weekly status report to upper management on outstanding issues and potential risk around project plan - Identify ways to streamline the business processes around R&M Purchase-to-Pay (End to end solution) - (SAP & non-SAP Systems) - Identify gaps and quickly resolve any system related issues around Purchase-to-Pay - Support end users with technical and functional questions around various applications around Purchasing that our Helpdesk can not address and document root cause analysis of each issue identified - Provide expert advice on best way to utilize (best-in-class) various functionalities around SAP MM - Identify and communicate risk pertaining to cost and other challenges that may impact deadlines *Experience & Knowledge * - Years of experience you require for this role : 3-5 years -Strong communication skills is a MUST - Past experience in a role where the candidate represent a business (liaison) and technical team (ABAP & Basis) to capture new requirements, test and provide expert advice on the best way to arrive at a technical solution pertaining to "Purchasing" in Materials Management module of SAP. - Prior experience with *Release Strategy (and workflow) is preferred.*Every projects will have a component of Delegation of Authority around the release strategy combined with business workflow (email submission to approvers). - Someone who has worked in an environment of multiple *SAP clients & multiple interfaces is preferred * - *Manufacturing background in Oil & Gas is preferred * - Experience in process improvement and development of process-flow diagrams to capture As-Is and To-Be scenarios is preferred Thank you and have a great day, Kavita Singh Technical Recruiter International Business Software Solutions (IBSS) Inc, "Moving Business to the Edge of Technology" 2540 US Highway 130,Suite 101,Cranbury NJ 08512 - 3519, Phone: 609-395-9007 x 449 || Fax : 732-876-0235 || [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web: www.ibssinc.com Note: We respect your online privacy.
