Position: J2EE application developer/Services developer/Broker developer Location: Albany, NY Duration: 18 Months Mandatory Requirements: 1. An Associate's Degree (or higher) 2. Two years application development experience doing N-tiered client/server development 3. Two years experience performing development work using Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g, or higher 4. Two Years experience performing development work in Windows NT/2000/XP (or latest version of Microsoft Operating System) 5. Two Years application development experience in Web Services Desirable Experience: 1. Three or more years experience JAVA programming. 2. Three or more years experience in EJB development and transaction management programming in a complex, large-scale environment involving the integration of J2EE applications with other environments, including legacy mainframe environments. 3. Two or more years experience developing JSP/Servlets and in the use of STRUTS framework. 4. Two or more years experience working with Oracle databases 10g or later. 5. Two or more years experience with development and deployment on IBM Websphere application server platform. 6. Two or more years experience with use of XML, JAXB, Hibernate and web services in a J2EE environment. 7. Three or more years experience developing applications using Service Oriented Architecture principles and related technologies 8. Two or more years experience developing with IBM WebSphere Message Broker (version 5.x or later) or another Enterprise Services Bus and MQ family tools and infrastructures. Demonstrated experience in architecting ESB/SOA solutions is also preferred. 9. Two or more years direct experience with designing, developing and deploying flows using Message Broker or another ESB. 10. One or more years experience using the IBM Rational toolset Job Description: Our client has developed the myBenefits and myWorkspace web applications, which allow public users the ability to apply for Food Stamps benefits online or with the aid of a community partner, and allow local district workers the ability to process electronic and paper applications by updating data and sending required data to the Unisys mainframe and other web based applications. MyBenefits and myWorkspace are J2EE applications using a Struts and Hibernate framework that currently communicate with the Unisys mainframe via MQ messages and the IBM WebSphere Message Broker. The applications are planned to communicate with other systems, and may use other integration technologies such as web services. An individual is being sought to fulfill the following roles that support cross-platform application and database interoperability between myBenefits/myWorkspace and other applications. Current applications utilizing the Enterprise Services Bus (currently Message Broker) use either WebSphere MQ or Web Services for connectivity. These are anticipated to continue to be the primary connectivity technologies. The use of XML is prevalent within the Broker. Use of Java is also present both as part of Java Compute Nodes and some supporting code. The development environment utilizes Rational RSA/RAD, ClearQuest and ClearCase.
