Position: Network Engineer Location: Albany, NY Duration: 12 Months Rate: $Best Rate Please note that this is a 37.5 hour work week. The anticipated start date for this project is March 31, 2010 Job Description: Mandatory Requirements: 1. Must have two (2) verifiable references. The references are from employment/projects within the last 24 months. 2. Minimum of ten (10) years direct experience in diagnosing and solving problems with wide area networks and LANs utilizing TCP/IP, RIP2, OSPF, spanning tree protocol, MPLS, VLANS and IPSEC Tunneling. 3. Eight (8) years direct experience in managing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches, routers and firewalls. 4. Five (5) years direct experience in managing, configuring and troubleshooting Nortel switches and routers. 5. Five (5) years direct experience in managing, configuring and troubleshooting Juniper (Netscreen) firewalls. 6. Five (5) years direct experience in utilizing Sniffer protocol analyzer/nGenius Infinistream to troubleshoot application and network problems. 7. Five (5) years direct experience in utilizing ApplicationVantage protocol analyzer to troubleshoot application and network problems. 8. Three (3) years direct experience in utilizing ClientVantage Agentless to troubleshoot application and network problems. 9. Three (3) years direct experience in developing and providing formal training classes on network equipment including Cisco and Juniper products. Desirable Experience: 1. Direct experience working with OFT DCN staff. 2. Direct working experience in diagnosing and solving problems with Juniper (Netscreen) firewalls. 3. Direct working experience in diagnosing and solving problems with Cisco 2950, 3750, 6500 switches, CSS load balancers and PIX firewall devices. 4. Direct working experience in diagnosing and solving problems with Nortel 8600, 450, and 470 equipment. 5. Direct working experience in diagnosing and solving problems with Juniper Netscreen 208, 500, 550 and 2000 products. 6. Direct working experience in diagnosing and solving problems utilizing the Sniffer protocol analyzer/nGenius Infinistream. 7. Direct working experience in diagnosing and solving problems utilizing the ApplicationVantage protocol analyzer. 8. Direct working experience in diagnosing and solving problems utilizing the ClientVantage Agentless Monitoring products. 9. Direct experience in developing and providing training classes on major vendor network equipment. 10. Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
