Need: Applications Developer-C#.NET, VB.NET Location: Tampa Pay rate; $35 Corp 2 Corp Duration: 1 year Job Description Fully competent in analyzing and evaluating existing or proposed systems, and revises computer programs, systems and related procedures to process data. Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis, and submits recommendations for solution. Prepares program specifications and diagrams, and develops coding logic flowcharts. Encodes, tests, debugs, and installs the operating programs and procedures in coordination with computer operations and user departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Provides technical development, support and systems administration for the Company's IT platforms in highly specialized phases of programming. * Recommends specifications for the implementation of new or modified operating software programming applications and maintains existing applications using standard utilities. * Builds software systems for customization for internal customers. Provides technical support and consulting services on systems software and application development to users. Builds software systems and products for external customers. * Creates program designs, coding, testing, implementation, as well as documentation and works with applications related to the overall IT system, such as disk maintenance, system startup, and operational software packages, configuration and user access procedures. * Trains lower level developers when necessary. * Prepare functional requirements based on project requests from business units. * Perform all aspects of development life cycle including design, development, unit testing and documentation. * Work with and assist QA with test cases and testing. * Responsible for enhancing Paymentech's Reporting Suite of products. * Some on-call support may be expected. Minimum Qualifications: * Computer Science, Business or MIS degree with 5+ years of development experience. * Must have 2+ years of experience in Object Oriented programming; 2+ years of experience development on .Net platform with C#, VB.Net and ASP.Net; * Strong SQL skills. * 2 + years PL/SQL or T-SQL development. * Some experience in the financial industry and experience with Crystal Reports or other reporting tools a plus. * Must have strong analytical and communication skills and an eagerness to learn about the payment processing business. * In-depth knowledge of programming tools and modern office practices and procedures. * Skilled in problem solving and analytical reasoning. * Excellent design skills. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Ability to work well in a team oriented, Agile environment. * Prior experience working in Agile methodology preferred. Additional notes: The "Retail Presentation Group" is split into two groups: Boarding (VB.Net) and Reporting (C#.Net). This group is responsible for customer touch points into Paymentech. Boarding functionality is where customers set-up for processing. Reporting handles reports back to the customer and internal reporting. The C#.NET position is on the reporting side where as VB.NET is being used on the boarding side. There is around 40 developers in the Retail Presentation Group. Two managers are responsible for reporting. They work with SCRUM capabilities in an AGILE environment. The groups have formed teams with a combination of developers and a QA resource. The teams work on a schedule called a SPRINT (20 days). This type of setup gives people the opportunity to form leadership in different areas. As they learn the business, developers start to grow and explore. Developers may want to go into more of an architecture or business/analytical role. There is tremendous growth within the department. Working in this type of environment empowers resources, which is very rewarding and people become very team oriented.
