For more details please visit us at www.iconma.com Please find the requirement detailed below for our esteemed direct client. * * *Sr. Ab Initio/Data Warehouse Lead/Architect* Location: Hartford, CT Duration: 6+ months *Description:* - The resource has to be a very strong ETL developer that can coach and mentor developers while leading small development efforts. - Client is expecting the person to have several years of Data Warehousing experience and be able to dive into complex, detailed development tasks when needed. - Reviews existing designs/application code and provide feedback for process improvements both application and infrastructure related. - Directs Development Life Cycle. - Works closely with business and IT management to ensure solution delivery across complex business requirements and processes and recommend solutions across diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technologies, tools, purchased solutions etc. - Acts as expert technical resource to lead systems staff in all phases of the development and implementation process. - Provide technical leadership to a small development team. - Ensure all projects are delivered on time within budget. - Coaches and trains other team members, end users, and peers as appropriate. - Performs task management and status reporting for small development team efforts. - Estimates small system enhancements. *Job Responsibilities:* - - Serves as team member for Enterprise Data Warehouse Production Support team to provide technical activities (including analysis, planning, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of support systems for business areas). - Ensure that batch & online SLA objectives as reflected in the SLA report are met. - Ensure that Service Level Agreements for Enterprise Data Warehouse and MCM Datamart daily, weekly, and monthly production refreshes are met. - Provide timely and accurate status to management and business related to production processing. - Supports Delivery Life Cycle including maintenance and production support with adherence to APLC standards. - Coaches and trains other team members, end users, and peers as appropriate. *Additional Job Information:* - Knowledge of the business area functions, (specifically Rx subject area) and operation, plus system and applications program development technological alternatives - This position requires overtime and off shift pager support for the production refreshes. - Good judgment - Utilizes accepted methodology & tools in a disciplined manner *Required Skills:* - A minimum of 7 years experience designing and developing complex, massive parallel, ETL solutions for data warehouses using industry standard toolsets. - Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of system design and implementation. - Demonstrated expertise in the technical suite in use within the application: DB2/UDB version 9, AIX, Unix scripting, IBM DataStage version 7.5, Ab Initio 2.14.128, ZEKE scheduler, ClearCase, ClearQuest, SQL, DB2 Stored Procedures. - Knowledge of other toolsets used to deliver ETL solutions is a plus (Informatica, SAS, etc.). - A minimum of 5 years experience working within structured project methodologies. - Experience with Healthcare payer business. - Extensive knowledge of the system development life cycle, the client area's functions and systems, and application program development alternatives. - Technical leadership skills. - Excellent communication skills. - Analytical ability. - Ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff. *Skill or Experience Requirements:* - Strong oral and written communication, team skills and work effectively in a matrixed environment. - Strong customer focus and results orientation required. - Candidate must have solid analytical and software development skills. *Technical Skills:* - Ab Initio ETL software - UNIX operating system - SQL (Desired) - ZEKE Automation Scheduler software - Operating Systems: UNIX - HP *Desired Skills:* - 2-4+ years experience in systems analysis and application program development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - UNIX Korn Scripting - General Mainframe skills, i.e. TSO, ISPF, SDSF, WSF- DB2 - DataStage ETL software - Database: DB2 - Operating System: MVS - Program Language: SQL *The details we require with your latest updated resume: *1) Full Legal name: 2) Expected Rate: *W2:* 3) Contact Phone number (Home/Cell/Work): 4) Visa Status: 5) Present Location: 6) Availability: *About ICONMA:* ICONMA is a consulting firm, that provides professional staffing services and project based solutions for a broad range of Fortune 1000 companies.
