Location: Raleigh NC
RATE 45/ hour.
Should have Wachovia experience.
(This job is for ASSET CONTROLS DEVELOPEMNT or ROMA Development.. The
language they tell us is similar to Java or C++ but it is specific to asset
control)
Responsibilities)
He needs the person to have strong Perl code and Linux they will not be
doing a lot of coding just someone who has implemented a vendor software
before and configured the vendor applications.
This is the job description but it has nothing to do with Java or C++ it is
a proprietary software called formula engine code or AC+
Responsibilities:
The candidate should have experience in installing, customizing, and
deploying vendor applications. Structured development knowledge in either
Java or C++ and the ability to work in a global team is essential in this
role.
Implement changes to various data management processes in the Asset Control
application
- Write test scripts in Perl for all development changes
- Integrate changed elements into a Subversion code repository for automated
deployment
- Provide regular written status reports for progress tracking
- Write technical design documents describing planned changes prior to
coding
- Perform estimations and provide input to project plans
Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
Minimum 2 years working in a commercial environment with a structured
development methodology
Experience with vendor application implementation and customization is
required, preferably with the Asset Control product
Experience with Java (design, coding standards, performance tuning, and
debugging)
Experience with Perl (design, coding standards, performance tuning, and
debugging)
SQL skills (Oracle query design, stored procedure development) is desired
Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux and UNIX scripting
Good object oriented programming skills
Experience with Subversion or other version control software is desirable
but not required
Investment banking or market data (terms & conditions data from Bloomberg,
Reuters, and others) development experience is desirable but not required
Good communication skills
Multi-regional team skills (this hire must be able to actively participate
in a global team)
Organized and delivery focused
