Position: Business Analyst
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 18 Months
Not to Exceed Rate: $35/hr
Submission Deadline: 4/19/2010
Mandatory Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree and four years experience performing Business
Analysis or an Associate’s degree and six years experience performing Business
Analysis.
2. Minimum of five (5) years experience: Examining the methods and
processes of the business flow within a diverse public or private service
delivery organization
3. Minimum of five (5) years experience: Assessing and documenting
existing business processes and identifying unnecessary steps
4. Minimum of five (5) years experience: Incorporating value-added steps
into a new process through the translation of business practices into
terminology and desk products that seamlessly merge computer and microcomputer
technology with work processes.
5. Minimum of five (5) years experience: Assessing and documenting
existing business processes and identifying where improvements can be made or
where new processes can be installed
6. Minimum of five (5) years experience: Researching “best practices” of
comparable organizations and analyzing the feasibility of installing them where
needed
7. Minimum of five (5) years experience: Developing new methods and
procedures, implementation plans and schedules, and written reports
Desirable Experience:
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Six or more years experience identifying and documenting business
processes, rules, application user requirements, complex security requirements,
and producing Logical Design documents from which developers can code.
3. Four or more years experience as a lead business analyst, with
responsibilities including: facilitate, lead, and manage meetings with users
to identify and gather business requirements; author requirements, rules, and
logical design documents; manage workload of other business analysts; review
and edit documentation written by other business analysts. Experience leading
these tasks for large, complex, object-oriented .Net web systems is preferred.
4. Three or more years experience working in the human services case
management arena to develop requirements, identify and analyze application
problems, and develop workable solutions
