The second KEY role is that of a strong J2EE/WebLogic Architect.
MUST have current WebLogic and significant integration experience (with MF
apps., and other packaged apps.).

“We have a South Florida (near Fort Lauderdale) client with an immediate
contract (to hire?) need for a very seasoned, experienced J2EE/Java
(WebLogic)Application and Integration Architect. This individual will need
to possess a high level of professional maturity such that they would be
able to, at one moment, stand before an executive or “C level” group making
technical presentations that could be easily understood by that audience
while in the next moment, sit next to a Java/J2EE developer and work with
them on a technical solution. Experience with large enterprise web servers
such as WebLogic is important as is an overall strong and deep understanding
of large enterprise applications involving but not always entirely based
upon J2EE technologies possibly interfacing mainframe core applications with
newer web based applications and solutions. Strong, hands on and in depth
experience and ability to communicate and deploy large Integration
solutions. These may be as disparate as Mainframe to Java/J2EE or Packaged
Solutions to Java/J2EE.

This role is technical in nature and this individual would need to be very
solid technically in J2EE and WebLogic (current) yet the role is quite
decidedly NOT that of a heads down or applications developer. This is a
position backfilling a very well respected individual who has recently left
the organization (on good terms) so there’ll be some large “shoes to fill”.

The role will breakdown skills and responsibility wise as follows:
• 30% hands on technical (J2EE). Some .NET would be nice to have.
• 20% Design (client uses CMMi as their methodology), Some RUP & UML
• 50% coordination, requirements gathering, status meetings, advisory around
application enhancements, upgrades etc.

Solid Integration and shared services experience is necessary.

Tools used at the client:
• Weblogic is critical experience
• Oracle DBMS
• Visio
• Cognos (Nice to have)
• Informatica (Nice to have)
