Title: EMC Control Center Consultant
Duration: 6-12 Months+
Location: NYC
Rate: DOE
This person would do daily health checks to make sure the ECC environment is
stable.
Daily
Review infrastructure components for functionality
Collect logs and troubleshooting data for recurring problems for
analysis for long term fixes
Check WLA data collections
Check ETLs
Check alert
Check that scheduled Storagescope reports ran.
Weekly
Check for current updates, patches and hotfixes
Plan for updates/patches/hotfixes to be applied to environment
Check for inactive master and host agents
Work with client personnel to restart master and host agents
Work with client personnel to troubleshoot and remedy master/host
agent issues (persistently going inactive)
Review Storage Scope reports with client for accuracy
Monthly
Periodic (monthly) review of complete environment
Health check of ECC environment (could be quarterly rather than
monthly) - including versioning, patch levels, interoperability of hba's,
switches, host OS, arrays
Work with client for deployment of new arrays/hosts/switches to
maintain a balanced and scalable architecture
Possibly help create custom Storage Scope reports for the client
Create/maintain security profiles for customer
management/reporting within ECC.
Create/maintain alerts/collection policies per customer
requirements.
