The Role:
Join a fast moving team in the development of next generation web products
that marry rich analytics with secure,
standards based, and high performing end user experience.
The ideal candidate will join a quickly growing agile team in the
development of a new web product that is targeted for Beta launch within an
aggressive time-frame.
We are looking for an experienced hands-on Ruby on Rails developer who has
experience with leveraging Rails best practices
and is willing to find a path to success by researching and recommending
alternatives when faced with challenging situations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or
related field
Ruby on Rails development and architecture experience
Nginx, Mongrel, GIT, Capistrano, Memcached and other services supporting
Rails
Central in the development of at least 1 ROR production system
Applies OOD and Design Patterns to software design & problem solving
Tackled clustering/caching, threading and performance issues
Worked in a fast paced agile environment with continuous integration,
unit/integration/load/performance testing
RDBMS experience including schema design and content modeling
Strong command of web standards and best practices
