Must have very strong *Unix skills across AIX and Linux.* Must be able to perform DB2 LUW software new installs, upgrades, and patch application, besides third-party tools' installation and configuration. Must have strong troubleshooting skills and be able to debug most *DB2 LUW problems* and *shell script problems*. Must be very knowledgeable regarding *DB2 LUW backup/recovery strategies* and competently implement them. Must have good *SQL skills, must be able to tune SQL*. Must be able to create/configure/tune instances, databases and database objects, as well as modify existing ones.
