*Contract Length: *6 months *Location: *Bloomfield, CT *Contract Range*: $70.00 W2 (US Citizen, Green Card or EAD) There are 2 openings here for the same type of candidate - must have architecture experience coming from a large matirx, complex environment, Java, mainframe C++ or C#, they must also possess EXCELLENT communication and coordination skills, political savvy, a certain level of "salesman ship" to work with multiple people/groups around a solution or direction. *Duties* Manages, plans and administers the operational and administrative activities of the Systems Architecture section. Plans and schedules the development, introduction, communication and Develops and maintains integrated solution architecture deliverables for one or more complex and visible initiatives to mitigate risk and deliver expected outcomes within the conceptual reference architecture framework. Ensures the review and audit of all related lower-level, detailed application or component-level detailed design artifacts to ensure traceability to the associated integrated solution architecture artifacts. Oversees all aspects of the Solution Architecture life cycle and works with matrix IT and business partners to validate Solution Architectures meet documented business and technical specifications. Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of integrated solution architectures for assigned initiatives. *Skills* Ability to successfully work within multiple requirements, Solution Architecture, and development approaches and methodologies (agile, iterative, waterfall, etc.). Ability to speak in non-technical terms and explain technical concepts in crisp, clear, and plain terms. *Education* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, at least five, typically seven or more years of solid, diverse work experience in IT, or the equivalent in education and work experience.
