We are looking for multiple Engineers who have worked in a traditional software development environment. The contract is a long term assignment with high probability for an extension beyond a year. DIRECTV is seeking a UI Developer to join our Software Engineering team. The UI Developer will be responsible for design, implementation, testing and documentation of the web interface of an internal enterprise application. *Qualifications* - BS or MS (preferred) in Computer Science/Engineering is required. - 5-7 years of experience developing applications using UI and web layer technologies. - Strong experience in UI design and implementation using JavaScript. - Strong experience in UI design and implementation using AJAX. - Strong experience in UI design and implantation using JQuery. - Strong experience in CSS, HTML, XML, and JSON. - Experience utilizing REST based Web Services. - Experience utilizing Apache Tomcat 5.5.x. - Configuration management and revision control using CVS and SVN a plus. - Working knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design methodologies. - Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements and schedules. - Able to work successfully in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment and effectively multi-task multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.
