JOB DESCRIPTION: ETL Developer Contract Length: 6 month increments, long term with extensions until project is complete Pay Rate: $50/hr Role: This role will serve to develop code (VB.Net), software, or functionality that meets the technical design documentation and specifications provided. Unit test plan creation / execution will also be required to confirm quality development has occurred. SQL Server 2008 (preferably), Visual Studio, C#, .NET Responsibilities: • Assist in the design, coding, and testing of technical solutions • Adhere to coding standards defined by technical management • Understand standard systems development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and apply our methodology effectively • Create unit test plans and conditions to compile development code • Execute unit tests to ensure that the software / integration compiles and runs • Identify any potential issues and risk associated with specific development activities • Work within Project Management guidelines • Create change documentation in accordance with procedures • Hands on VB.Net coding, creating scripts to access data in the system, extract data (DB2, IBM Universe ect.), scrub/cleanse data, code mapping to transfer and load into internal database/platform. Background: • Experience with Microsoft .Net VB or C# • Experience with MS SQL Server 2005 or beyond • Experience with complex database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs • Insurance / brokerage knowledge • Willingness to work outside normal business hours, including weekends • Willingness to travel on a limited basis • 5+ years of experience within specific role • Good people and communication skills Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
