TWO OPENINGS
Write programs to maintain and control computer systems software for
operating systems, networked systems, and database systems.
Responsible for creating the software platform, and then fine-tuning the
final program after it has been made.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Test, maintain, and repair the JVM (Java Virtual Machine); Modify
existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to
upgrade interfaces and improve performance; Design and develop software
systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and
measure outcome and consequences of design; Consult with engineering staff
to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications
and performance requirements and resolve customer problems; Advise customer
about, or perform, maintenance of software system; Coordinate installation
of software system; Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system
operates in conformance with specifications; Analyze information to
determine, recommend and plan installation of a new system or modification
of an existing system.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in computer science or relevant field required; 2-4
years experience required. SKILLS: Verbal and written communication skills,
problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills; Ability
to work independently and manage ones time; Knowledge of the full software
development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements
gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing
and delivery; Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as
needed to resolve issue; Knowledge of computer hardware and software;
Knowledge of computer development software, such as SQL, Java, J2EE, etc.

This position is for an IVR Developer with experience developing
dynamic speech-enabled VXML applications for the healthcare industry.
Candidates must have experience with integrating to backend host systems via
MQ, JDBC, HTTP and screen-scraping (host emulation). The successful
candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and
will work closely with business, IT staff and management to deliver voice
self-service applications that meet the needs of our business partners.
Required skills/experience: - VoiceXML
- Java J2EE - JSP - Nuance (Viecore) Framework - Speech Enabled Call Center
IVR systems - Speech Recognition Grammar development (GRXML) - Rational
Application Developer (RAD) 7.5 or higher - Clear Case UCM - WebSphere
Application Server - SQL - Understanding of call routing in a Genesys
environment - Knowledge of SDLC. Lean IT preferred. - Experience developing
healthcare applications - strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
