Location: Arlington VA *Duration: 5+ months can go up to Dec 2012* *Local to East coast(f2f)* Client has an immediate need for a Technical System Tester The candidate shall have the following knowledge requirements and qualifications: - Five to ten (5-10) years of relevant testing experience, business analyst experience a plus. - Experience in developing test plans, test scenarios, and the development of test cases from functional business requirements. - Experience in development of test beds, sourcing test data, and development of data-driven, expected results. - Experience in writing automated test scripts. - Experience in testing web-based systems. - Experience in writing and executing SQL queries to determine successful database results. - Experience in developing metrics-based status documents to reflect testing status, progress, and expected completion dates. - Experience in communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. - Experience in testing Web-based, .Net systems. - Experience working in a matrixed project environment. - Experience working closely with developers, DBAs, System Testers and User Acceptance Testers. - Understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Knowledge of Windows Development environments (.Net, C#, Visual Studio). - Knowledge of Windows Server Products (SharePoint, Content Management Server, BizTalk), a plus. - Understand waterfall and agile development methodologies. - Proficient in MS Windows and Office application suite. - Must be energetic, goal oriented, innovative, hard working, persistent, and patient. - Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Business experience in Employee Benefits, Financial/Banking industry, Healthcare, and/or Associations a plus. - Experience working with HP / Mercury Interactive Quality Center and Quick Test Pro is a plus - BS degree in Business Administration, Management Science, Computer Science or related field.
