Need User Interface Engineer - Location: San Francisco, CA - Duration: 6+ Months
Responsibilities: 1. Work with Product Designers and Software Engineers to implement the products 2. Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems 3. Identify and address performance bottlenecks 4. Participate in design and code reviews 5. Interact with other team members to incorporate their innovations and vice versa 6. Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering Required skills: 1. Expert knowledge of web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) 2. JS Hacking Wizard 3. Experience with scripting languages (Ruby, Python, Perl, etc.) 4. Extremely detail oriented. Strives for pixel perfect implementation 5. Unmistakable passion for elegant and intuitive user interfaces 6. Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable code for UI components 7. Knowledge of, but not reliant, on Object Oriented JavaScript Frameworks (Prototype JS, MooTools, Dojo, etc.) 8. Experience working with HTML/CSS3/JS in high-performance environments 9. Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking 10. 3+ years of experience building web applications 11. BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field Bonus 12. Experience building complicated workflows 13. Experience in functional programming is a plus 14. Open Mind is an obligation 15. Relevant experience includes self-started personal projects 16. Knowledge of web accessibility standards 17. Excellent organization skills, project tracking abilities, communications skills 18.
