*WebSphere Java Developer * *Location: Charlotte, NC * *Duration: 6 months* *Description:* Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree and 7+ years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Description: Acts as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications. Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code. Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan. *Required Skills:* - 7+ years application development and implementation experience. - Minimum 5 years of J2EE development experience. - Experience with WebSphere Application Server and development environment. - Extensive experience with n-tier application development. - Experience with Java Server Faces. - Experience working in a lead capacity within a large applications environment. - Extensive experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) development. - Experience with Oracle PL/SQL development. - Ability to document impact analysis, detailed designs and unit test plans. - Working experience with XML - Excellent analytical, decision-making and troubleshooting skills. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work independently or collaboratively. - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. - Project life cycle knowledge. - Detail oriented. *Preferred Skills:* - UNIX experience of 3+ years. - Prior experience with collections systems. - Demonstrated knowledge of Home Equity Lines and Loans, Personal Loans, Sub Prime Loans, Credit Cards and Retail Loans, Business Loans and Credit Cards, and Educational Loans.
