*SQL Server DBA*
*Location: MI*
*Duration: 3-6 Months*
*Duties and Responsibilities*
Responsible for installation, configuration, administration
(backups, restoration, disaster recovery) of the SQL Server databases and
ensuring their performance, availability and security.
Work to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated
to the databases and to ensure high resilience and performance tuning.
To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure
services with minimum downtime
Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL
development.
Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to
include rollout and upgrades.
Responsible for implementation and release of database changes
according to agreed timescales and costs.
*Skills / Attributes Required*
3-5 years of DBA experience working with multiple servers
In depth SQL Server Database Administration experience.
Experience of managing multiple MS SQL 2008 & 2005 RDBMS on
large systems
Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on Database
projects
Experience Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a
database to provide a high availability service.
Experience of Transactional SQL, Stored procedures, SSIS,
SSAS.
Practical experience in managing the internal and external MS
SQL database security.
Associated networking knowledge with routers, san drive, and
website configuration is highly preferable.
