DW Architect(Data Integration) - Job Profile 12-15 yrs in IT industry with extensive experience in architecting data warehousing solutions, data integration solutions for large scale global data warehousing/ data integration programs (50 to 100+ team size, 5 M USD +). The candidate should have a good technical background of industry standard data warehousing tools and technologies in ETL, OLAP and Information Management space. The candidate should have a specialization and focus towards solutioning and architecting data integration solutions for data warehouse, data integration with experience in architecting solutions for enterprise wide data integration initiatives with experience in 1 or more technologies like Informatica, IBM Datastage, AbInitio, Other data integration tools etc. The candidate should have been in customer facing roles in pre sales work like proposals, workshops for customers with in-depth knowledge in data integration domain and associated areas. The candidate should have been working with leading IT services providers and should be very familiar with global delivery models and operations. Should have solid practical experience in software quality systems and processes CMMi, ITIL compliance etc, and project planning and cost management. Roles and Responsibilities • Architecting Solutions with data integration depth in delivering complex data warehousing projects or enterprise data integration initiatives in a cost effective and operationally efficient manner • Building and Implementing Enterprise Data Integration Roadmap, strategy for Clients, given the existing silo’ed data integration environments available to ensure efficient and scalable data integration solutions • Conduct architecture reviews from a data integration perspective, addressing the solution requirements from a scalability, flexibility, connectivity, batch performance(performance in totality of the data warehouse ), real time connectivity, reusability etc. • Expertise in handling various aspects of a Data warehouse architecture and drive workshops for customers to arrive at efficient architecture. Build point solutions, proof of concepts on focus topics like data integration, real time data integration, CDC based data integration, data warehouse performance optimization, data quality, data masking, data archival, data migration etc. • Guide the project team in terms of enterprise wide data integration best practices, standards and ensure that project teams are following the recommended practices • Work collaboratively with the center of excellence in driving data integration specific solutions and support in doing beta testing of data integration product releases, tool evaluation of different data integration vendors, proof of concept of making data integration products work with other segment products or customize it to the specific requirements of a client. • Work collaboratively with the delivery teams in increasing productivity of teams through efficient processes, global delivery models(fixed price, managed services, factory model, solution center etc), reusable components built. • Develop processes and systems in place to build architects in data integration area, with emphasis on right training required, varied project experience and support projects on a continuous basis on the right architecture fitment. • Thought leadership in evaluating the various trends in data integration space, building competency in the emerging areas like cloud data integration etc, and build solutions around the emerging areas for addressing client specific issues. • Supporting Knowledge management and Practice specific initiatives around data integration. Key Skills Technical skills – Data Integration technologies like Informatica, IBM Datastage, AbInitio, Oracle Data Integration where the deployments have been of a enterprise data integration scale with experience in handling data movement in data warehouses of size 10 TB or more.
