*Experience* *required:*
At least 7 years of Application Quality Assurance - Testing.
An emphasis on manual testing but automated testing experience helps with
the consultant's testing perspective
Writing test scripts and plans, documenting test findings
Meeting/communicating with business users to understand initial application
requirements and/or to verify that software is meeting expectations.
Ability to quickly learn the business of the healthcare applications that
are being tested (if healthcare industry experience does not already exist).
*Scope/Responsibilities*:
Manual testing of healthcare applications
Review assembled Department, Cost Center, Equipment, and Application matrix
for testing coverage with Team Lead guidance
Assemble baseline application workflow for" Day in a life of a patient" with
Team Lead guidance
• McKesson Healthquest: Patient registration
• Order entry: Eclipses – MethOD using Charge Codes (CC)
- Verify output is linked to a patient (HPF)
o RIS IC – Radiology outpatient order entry and all results
• Discover if other ancillaries use unique order entry systems
• Discover equipment that can generate Charge Codes within each Cost Center
(Examples)
o PACS (Image archive; HPF for Report archive and communication for RIS
IC)
- Verify output is linked to a patient (HPF)
o Siemens Syngo (Image archive and HPF for Structured Report archive and
communication for Cardiology)
- Verify output is linked to a patient (HPF)
• McKesson Healthquest: Financial backend communication (Translation of
Charge Codes to CPT procedure code and ICD9 codes)
• Develop additional test cases for non- ancillary areas of system with Team
Lead guidance
• Create coverage matrix for each Cost Center with Team Lead guidance
• Determine proper completeness of coverage with Team Lead guidance
• Create coverage matrix for each Cost Code with Team Lead guidance
• Responsible for verification of test case execution for each Cost Center
with Team Lead guidance
• Responsible Issues tracking at the Cost Center level with Team
