Network Engineer ( Local Candidate) Secaucus, NJ Essential Functions of the Position: The following are the essential functions of the position of Network Engineer. Responsible for administration, monitoring and maintenance of the network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, IPT architecture, and server systems. The company reserves the right to change the essential functions of this position at any time. · Support and Maintain a Windows 2008/2008 R2 Active Directory environment. · Support and Maintain a WAN based on Cisco’s routing platform. · Support and Maintain a LAN based on Cisco’s switching platform. · Support and Maintain a SAN based on EMC technology. · Support and Maintain all security infrastructure (Firewall/IPS/IDS/VPN). · Support and Maintain server and blade server infrastructure. · Act as Primary/Lead for all security-related initiatives related to PCI-DSS and SOX compliance. · Perform regular security monitoring of network and computer resources. · Perform hardware and software upgrades and migrations, as necessary. · Interface with vendors/resellers in ordering/scheduling/follow-ups of lines in new store locations and maintenance of existing store locations. · Develop and maintain production documentation. · Coordinates telecommunications maintenance functions to accommodate system users and minimize downtime. · Perform “add/move/change” telephony configuration requests from corporate and remote user communities. · Assist in the training system users on new platforms and applications. Experience: · The ideal candidate would possess a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college in Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent degree; or 5 - 7 years related experience and/or training; a minimum of 3 years related voice communications or equivalent combination of education and experience. · The ideal candidate would possess Microsoft MCTS/MCITP on Win2008 and/or Cisco CCNP/CCSP certifications. · Experience in Exchange 2003/2010 management and administration. · Experience in Cisco and Juniper IPsec and SSL VPN management and configuration. · Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Catalyst 3750, 4500, 6500 switches, 2800 and 7200 series routers. · Experience in LAN, WAN design, implementation and support. · Knowledge of enterprise wireless technologies and authentication is required (LWAPP, RADIUS, TACACS+, Cisco ACS). · Experience in managing TippingPoint IDS/IPS devices. · Working knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle platforms is a plus. · Knowledge of administration and configuration of web platforms such as Apache, IIS, and Joomla. · The ideal candidate would have training and working knowledge with IP Telephony Systems, and familiarity with with VoIP. · General technical knowledge of routing protocols and standards, specifically BGP, EIGRP, QoS, STP, HSRP, VLAN, MPLS. · General technical knowledge of current telecommunications practices, protocols and principles including ACD, T1, T3, BRI, PRI, DSL, TCP/IP. · Knowledge of Visio and ability to write scripts in VB Script, cScript, JavaSsript or Perl. · The ideal candidate would have a proven track record of getting things done within a fast-paced, changing environment.
