* * * * *Systems Programmer with Solaris 10* *Location: San Antonio, TX* *Duration: 12 Months* * * * * *Responsibilities include:* System Administration background in Unix and Windows In-Depth experience with Solaris 10 / Sparc, HP-UX , Linux Redhat, and NFS and LVM troubleshooting 3+ years experience with Windows 2003 and 2008 servers, Netbackup, VMWare, HP DL Server Hardware, SMB and CIFs troubleshooting; Knowledge of VMWare ESX is a plus Diagnose and analyze system related issues and recommend appropriate solutions based on knowledge of the appropriate systems and system software. Provide support to application teams / business units and communicate periodically with users on systems status, including system changes, problems, enhancements and potential impacts. Strong problem determination and resolution skills Knowledge of tape back-ups and restores is required Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills Must know how to provide a status on assigned deliverables Work effectively in a team environment Familiarity with scripting languages desired: perl, korn shell, vbscript Experience performing 24x7 production support Must have open availability in order to work varying shift lengths and varying shift days/times *Must have* Recent experience (last 3 years) 1. Solaris 10 Systems Administration- Non- Help Desk and Windows 2003 Administration 2. Symantec VCS and GCO 3. EMC SAN 4.
