Primary responsibility will be the analysis, design, development and implementation of solutions involving database, rules based engine, Java and service-oriented technologies, in a highly customer-oriented organization where exercise of excellent customer service, teamwork and relations is paramount. Work will be performed under general direction and involves developing and/or modifying applications that will enhance the work-flow of the business processes utilizing advanced analysis and design concepts in high level programming languages. Employee is expected to exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment in the planning and organizing of work, the proficient completion of assignments, applying departmental policy, resolving routine and unusual problems, and modifying plans to meet unexpected situations. Employee is expected to perform almost all tasks with little supervision or guidance and work well with staff at all levels of the organization. *Primary responsibilities include:* Requirements Analysis · Support the definition and refinement of requirements, in order to obtain a clear understanding of the business need · Act as the in depth technical expert for applications exhibiting detailed technical knowledge and high level functional knowledge · Challenge Project Managers, Application Consultants and internal clients on requirements** · Participate in projects meetings and business requirements sessions ** · Work closely with Application Consultants to provide technical expertise in supporting the functional design of solutions** Design and Development · Design, develop and implement new web-based and service oriented applications or enhancements to current applications to accommodate changes in business needs · Translate functional designs into technical designs · Prepare and maintain technical design documentation for changes and projects · Assist in the preparation of project plans · Execute parts of the project, within one’s own discipline · Investigate the impact of implementations · Participate and conduct unit testing of development and changes of global systems based on technical and functional specifications · Participate in team meetings and technical training sessions · Act as technical mentor to the team · Contribute to impact analysis (cost, risks) on application changes Incident, Problem & Change Management · Execute the incident and problem management process, compliant with agreed service levels, with the purpose to adequately solve technical incidents and problems · Provide second line or third line support · Execute resolution of incidents and problems · Document and report progress concerning incidents and problems · Execute small and large changes within architectural and security and compliance standards and guidelines · Manage customer expectations *Experience:* · 3 + years of extensive experience following Software Development Lifecycle methodologies · Strong technical background with strong experience in Java development technologies (J2EE, XML, HTML, Java Frameworks including Hibernate & Spring) · Rules Engine experience is a plus. · Good Technical understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and methodologies · Experience with object oriented analysis, design and programming · Experience with designing and building multi-tier web applications · Experience with data modeling, SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle preferred) · Knowledge of Websphere Application Server · Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills · Ability to work independently as well as in a diverse team environment · Demonstrated ability writing clear and concise technical documentation. · Excellent communication skills. · Ability to manage small to medium sized projects. · Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deal with conflicting priorities. *Education and Other Credentials* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Exact Match" group.
