**Job Title: Informatica Developer
Location: Rochester, NY
Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Summary:
Responsible for Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL) development in
support of Data Warehouse (DW) projects primarily using Informatica.
Ensures use of ETL standards and follows all our development processes for
development. Assists with project management activities such as project
planning, time estimating, and status reporting.
Must Have Skills:
1. Creating/Modifying ETL Maps: 5-7 years:
Candidates must be able to help determine what needs to be completed from a
design level. This includes understanding design level from scratch,
understanding design standards and understanding design options. Candidates
should have consultative experience around design rather than enhancements
to existing designs.
2. SQL Optimization: 5-7 years:
Candidates must have experience with optimizing queries, statistical
surroundings, and using the Analyze command within a table.
3. Large Data Volumes: 5-7 years:
They are not looking for specific environment size but they are looking for
candidates who have had to problem solve surrounding large data volumes.
This should include experience solving data problems surrounding the maps,
analysis and tuning. Preference is for large-scale Oracle warehouse centric
experience.
4. Minimum of 3 years of production level ETL coding and UNIX scripting in
client/server environment,
5. Database utilities (e.g., TOAD, AQT); Mainframe knowledge (DB2 and IMS);
and client/server job scheduling software knowledge a plus.

1. All technical skills listed above
2. On site preferred
2. Initiative:
a. Verify how work is distributed within the team (optional but expected
for a senior level candidate)
b. How aggressive candidate was/is with completing work/getting involved
with additional work when things are slow or completed.
c. Strong verbal communication and written skills a must.
