· Backend troubleshooting ; Triaging to Level 2&3 support · Maintaining technical architecture documentation, including MS Exchange Topology · Reports on hardware utilization and product life-span · Reports status of Application Monitoring initiative to DIIT Executive team · Maintains repository of key operational components (certificates, drivers, config files, release packages) · Managing SAN and direct attached storage solutions · The Engineer is responsible for analyzing, testing, and providing improvement recommendations for all Microsoft Exchange issues encountered · The Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft infrastructure solutions and will apply industry accepted best practices related to Microsoft Exchange, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), ActiveSync, Blackberry, Cisco Iron port, power shell scripting, Microsoft SQL, and Windows Server · Other responsibilities include project management of configuration improvements, upgrades, and related IT initiatives. The Engineer will participate in day to day administrative duties within the environment and 24X7 on-call support rotations. Daily activities include monitoring and responding to server events, ensuring data integrity, gathering server statistics, and performing general maintenance tasks. The Exchange engineer should possess a broad understating of technology and its application in a business environment.
