This is replacing an old mainframe app. They bought a vendor product, they have the source code, now they need to customize it to meet their needs. They need a Sr level person who can do the total stack, look in to solution, design, UI, database, code, and test. Border line architect but will be coding too. Technologies & Tools: C# .NET 4.0 ASP.NET Winforms Based Strong Object Oriented background who can do some design work SQL Server 2008 R2 (Stored Procedures, Views, UDFs, Optimizations, Indexes) Visual Studio 2012 Infragistics UI Controls is preferred They have a fat client runs own PC, communicates to the PC, really no web services Use TCF (Team Foundation Server) for source control Development Methodology: Strict Agile, 2 week sprints. Couple of days design work, roughly 5 days of development, couple days of testing. Daily scrums every morning Demos to the business Service Orient Architecture Team Dynamics: His team is roughly 15 people, this project is 4 people. One does SAP integration, one does more integration, one threads UI and Gap Dev. Devs do Unit Test QAs do User Test Additional Info: Strong in the .NET OO development procedures Strong in the SQL Server (StoredProcs, Views, UDFs, Optimizations, Indexes) Documentation skills are important Database skills are important Being able to create Unit Test and test cases is important Solid BA skills are not necessary as they have BA’s on the team *Official Job Description: * Work closely with business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Actively participate in development projects as well as on application sustainment teams. Must be proficient in the use of one language such as Java or C# and the associated development tool sets. Individuals will work with our business partners and will participate in the designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting of applications in accordance to the ITIL Service Lifecycle. Assist in coordinating the efforts of supplier teams when needed to develop or sustain the application environment. Lead the estimation effort for assigned development tasks, assist in estimating level of effort for less senior level developers. Apply company policies and procedures to resolve complex issues. Lead the development effort resulting in well structured, easily maintained program code. Prepares and review documentation of developed programs and processes. Ensure work is delivered on schedule and on budget. Meet all established policies and procedures within the GBTS and corporate environment for the assigned projects. Perform code reviews to ensure all deliverables are of the highest quality. Prepare and review estimates for tasks and projects. Prepare test scripts, and conduct all applicable tests for multiple projects, coordinating across multiple areas. Minimum 6 years relevant experience.
