Position: Build and Release Engineers Location: SFO, CA Duration:8 months+ *JD for Release Engineer * Mandatory skills: - 5+ years of Build and Release experience in Unix environment - Proficiency in more than one scripting languages (ie. unix shell scripting, Perl, Ruby, and/or Python) - Experience with automated builds and deployments to multiple QA environments as well as Production - Experience with Continuous Integration and related tools (ie. Cruise Control, Hudson) - Experience with various source control tools (ie. SVN, Git, CVS) - Experience with releasing software on a large scale, complex J2EE SOA environment - Working knowledge of SCM (software config management) best practices and applications deployed in a SOA environment - Excellent analytical, problem solving skills, and attention to detail; production support experience - Strong written and verbal communication skills and experienced with working effectively in cross-functional teams - Experienced in a large scale e-commerce environment Release Engineer requires technical knowledge of JAVA builds, UNIX administration, Scripting and Automation, Deployment experience and good troubleshooting experience. SCM experience is also mandatory.
