*Title: HiL (Hardware in Loop) Engineer*

*Location:* Cedar Rapids, IA
*Duration:* 1+ year contract
*Rate: *OPEN

*Description:*

The person responsible for developing, creating, and maintaining the
HiL test system configuration and checkout prior to use by a Test
Developer or Software Developer. The HiL Engineer ensures that the LCO-IP
configuration file is setup to support the Device Under Test (DUT) along
with the necessary LCO-EE environment (GUI panels) by following guidelines
and working closely with the appropriate Test Developer / Software
Developer. Furthermore he sets up the LCA test bench configuration(s) to
create the basis for test case creation and execution. The HIL Engineer is
also responsible to configure the HiL system (hardware and LCO
configuration) and validate it is ready for use by the Test Developer /
Software Developer. This person will also be on-call to support issues that
may arise during the HiL usage by the Test Developer or Software
Developer. The HIL Engineer also is the first contact to ensure the DUT HiL
Harness and Load Box are designed and manufactured.

*Responsibilities:*
**
Support HiL users to define configuration of a LABCAR system along with
requirements for load box and harnesses for the DuT (� achieving milestones
H1 and H2).
Create configurations in LCO to allow manual testing in an open- or
closed-loop environment.
Setup CAN/LIN restbus simulation.
Integration of Simulink plant models provided by user or plant modeling
team.
Creation and/or integration of any C or Simulink modules required for
restbus or plant simulation.
o LCO-EE
Create layers using existing instruments to enable manual testing of a DuT.
� Create mapping files to define labels for all signals that are being
accessed through LCO or LCA.
Maintain version control of LCO environments using SVN.
Create test bench configurations in LCA to enable users to program and
execute test cases for their DuT.
o Maintain version control of LCA environments using SVN.
Support appropriate configuration of Host PCs (� achieving milestone I1).
o Assure that LABCAR software and Deere enhancements are up-to-date.
o Assure that the Directory Tree Structure on SVN and the Host PCs meets
the guidelines.
Create and maintain Baseline LCO/LCA Projects that Software / Test
Developers can use to create their DuT specific configuration and tests (�
achieving milestone I2).
Develop and maintain reusable LCO-EE base configurations.

*Skills:*

Ability to read electrical schematics, controller pins-n-notes to be able
to create LCO-IP configurations for the specific DUT.
Ability to search information on the VNSM database and create downloads
(e.g. DTC, DA or CAN spreadsheet downloads).
Basic understanding of JDOS features such as fault manager for example.
Basic understanding of the J1939 standard.
Ability to create and/or modify Simulink/Stateflow models.
Knowledge of SVN infrastructure and framework processes/guidelines (e.g.
label mapping).
